Information

Directions.

We are on the A351, within Swanage and only 500 m back from the middle of the sea front.

Driving from Corfe Castle

Stay on the A351 until you have entered Swanage then after the skew bridge look for the 'Swanage Golf Games at Kirkwood Park' signs on the right.

By Public Transport

If you are arriving by public transport take the train to either Wareham then take a taxi or No. 40 bus, getting off either at Herston (slightly closer) and walking five minutes, or the Swanage town centre and taking a 7 minute walk or a three minute taxi ride.  Or alight at Bournemouth station then taking the No 50 bus to Swanage town centre (very nice open top bus across the ferry if weather is good!) Then walk (7 mins.) or taxi (3 mins) from the bus station.

TO CHECK THE FERRY PLEASE GO TO:-

Driving from the Sandbanks ferry

(Note: queues toward Swanage are likely on Friday pm's and sunny August mornings, but you can get out of the car and walk to a nice view of the water and enjoy and ice cream while waiting!)  Coming off the ferry, drive through Studland, then take the signs to Swanage.  Upon arriving along the sea front, (sea on left), turn right into Victoria Avenue at the middle of the seafront (A351.)  Proceed through the lights, go past the coach car park on the left and then look for the 'Swanage Golf Games at Kirkwood Park' signs on the left.  We are only 500m from the sea.

Coming from London on a Friday?

The A31 across the New Forest gets extremely log jammed. Sometimes for several hours.  You may be wiser to consider taking  the A303 turning from the M3, past Andover, then A338 south to Salisbury, A354 past Blandford, then left through Winterbourne Kingston to Bere Regis then A35 toward Poole but then right after only 2kms to Wareham and onto A351 to Swanage.  It's further but may be much quicker at peak times.

Checkin & Checkout Times

As your tent may have to be got ready for another customer all stays commence at 4.pm. and your tent must be vacated by 10am.

House Rules

We try to run a simple campsite without too many fussy rules however we do insist on a noise policy of hushed voices from 11 p.m. and silence from midnight. We also request children and dogs to be kept quiet until 8am.  If they are boisterous please take them to the park next door! Fires must be located in the tray provided and at least three meters away from any tent. No open flames or smoking are allowed in the tents, and no generators please!

Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes unforeseen events happen however we reserve the right to keep deposits for any reservation if not given two weeks’ notice in writing (e-mail). The early leaving of the site shall not obtain a refund unless over-ruled at the managers’ discretion.
